Family Law

Family law was a natural transition for Terri after serving as a domestic violence prosecutor for more than a decade. She has extensive training in intimate partner domestic violence and its impact on the family.
Mediation
We are trained to provide mediation services in both civil and family relations matters. We believe mediation is an effective tool to resolve cases without going into a courtroom. Through mediation, individuals are able to work through their issues and compromise on a solution. The autonomy mediation offers empowers parties to work to succeed long term, without continued litigation.
Employment Investigations
Has your company or agency received an internal complaint of harassment, discrimination or other related policy violations? We are trained to conduct internal investigations on behalf of employers, to understand what happened and what steps your entity should take to manage and mitigate risk.
Government / Law Enforcement
Let us help your agency navigate disciplinary matters, administrative hearings, best-practice policy drafting and implementation, and risk management. We have experience reviewing grants, negotiating contracts and MOU/MOAs, and ensuring agency compliance.
Traffic Tickets/Municipal Court
If you have a traffic ticket or ordinance violation ticket, we can help get it resolved. We handle all traffic tickets from speeding to driving while intoxicated. From MIPs to codes violations, we’ve got you covered in municipal court and, in some cases, can even save you an appearance in court.

Pricing
Transparency and easy billing practices are at the core of our business. Depending on the nature of your legal matter, we will explain pricing and payment options. We offer payment by Venmo and PayPal and can send you a link for payment by credit card upon request. Initial consultations are always free of charge.
Resolve Legal offers flexible pricing and payment plans to suit each client’s specific needs, including flat fees for document preparation and mutually agreeable caps for hourly projects. We always discuss pricing in detail, in advance.

About Us
Who we are
After decades as public sector attorneys, partners Jenny Atterbury and Terri Round founded Resolve Legal Services, LLC to leverage their combined 50+ years of legal experience to help individuals facing challenging legal issues. As former prosecutors, they are experienced trial attorneys who have handled thousands of legal matters.
Our Lawyers
Terri Round has spent 30 years in the Kansas City legal community resolving tens of thousands of cases from felonies to municipal ordinance violations. She has particular expertise in domestic relations cases, including matters with allegations of intimate partner violence, elder abuse, and financial fraud.
Jenny Atterbury is a lawyer with over twenty years practicing in the Kansas City area. Most recently she served as general counsel for a Kansas City area law enforcement agency, and her practice areas include general business law, employment practices, risk management, and criminal law.
